Law firms and legal teams that want to run document review, contract drafting, and tabular extraction workflows with per-cell citations on their own infrastructure, using their own Anthropic, Gemini, or OpenAI API keys, with no data leaving their control.
You need a managed cloud service with SLA-backed uptime: Mike has no hosted offering; the mikeoss.com demo instance explicitly warns against uploading confidential documents. Self-hosting requires Node.js 20+, a Supabase project, and an S3-compatible object storage bucket.
Mike launched in April 2026 and is under active early development (v0.4.0 as of July 2026). It does not include its own legal database: case law research requires a CourtListener API token. AGPL-3.0 requires publishing modifications if you run Mike as a network service.
